Job Summary

Devant IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Manual QA Tester with 1–2 years of professional experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying and reporting defects, executing test cases, performing regression testing, and ensuring the quality and reliability of software products.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of software testing processes, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with developers and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

• Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing.

• Identify, reproduce, document, and report software defects.

• Track bugs using Jira, Trello, or similar bug-tracking tools.

• Perform retesting after defects are resolved.

• Conduct regression testing for new features and bug fixes.

• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.

• Maintain test cases, test documentation, test reports, and other QA records.

• Identify edge cases and potential issues before product release.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and testing discussions.

• Ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines.

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in manual software testing.

• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Good understanding of Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, and System Testing.

• Experience in writing and executing Test Cases and Test Scenarios.

• Good knowledge of Bug Reporting and Defect Tracking.

• Familiarity with Jira, Trello, or similar tools.

• Basic knowledge of API Testing using Postman is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of SQL/Database Testing for backend data verification.

• Basic understanding of Automation Testing is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with developers and other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant professional experience in software testing will be considered.

Preferred Candidate

• Immediate joiners are preferred.

• Candidates with experience in an IT/Software Development company will be preferred.

• Candidates with experience testing live web or mobile applications will have an advantage.

• Candidates should be responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
